Job Summary:

The Hardware/Software Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of the hardware and SW for the battery management system and related electronics systems. Deliveries should meet customer, electronic and manufacturing timing plans. PM should work closely with the Technical Project Lead, the pack Program Manager and Customer to capture delivery dates and content.


Job Tasks/Responsibilities - Primary

  • Create manage and track project vehicles for the embedded software and hardware development, including:
    1. Project schedules
    2. Detailed project plans
    3. Project scope statements
    4. Resource plans
    5. Risk and issues logs
    6. Status reports
  • Manage the day to day activities of projects and staff; communicate with project teams as necessary to ensure project deliverables are on schedule.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers as needed in regards to project deliverables including managing expectations.
  • Make recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization and resource allocation with input from team members.
  • Work with technical leads to accurately estimate additional work associated with customer/internally driven Engineering Change Requests
  • Provide timely program updates to management and other program team members
  • Interface with customer both to negotiate delivery schedules and requirements
  • Interface with validation and verification to accurately assess HW and SW status
  • Interface with program management to ensure HW and SW is meeting overall program timing
  • Able to quickly sort out resource problems, and accurately / efficiently assign work products to appropriate individuals.

Required Experience / Education

The qualified candidate should have a Degree in Computer/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
