Company is a leading manufacturer and developer of lithium ion battery systems for commercial vehicles, transport, electric forklifts and pallet trucks, ground support equipment, stationary energy storage and other applications.

Company produces mass-produced batteries on assembly lines at its facility in Austin Texas.


The Sr. Electrical Engineer will be involved with the electrical integration of systems and subsystems.  The candidate should have a good understanding of Battery Management Systems, CANBUS, and High Voltage DC electrical and electromechanical engineering systems for these efforts.   This position is a key contributor of Electrical Design and Interfaces of large vehicle scale Li-ion Battery assemblies, such as, mining vehicles or bus sized application.  


  • Responsible to see products from concept through production, and qualification/validation.
  • Able to produce engineering specifications, schematics, and cable/wire interconnects.
  • Proficient at schematic capture and wiring documentation.
  • Define test protocols for automated tests and End-of-Line tests.
  • Coordinates with Mechanical/Software Engineers and Manufacturing/Quality.
  • Utilizes simulation, engineering practices, mathematics, and other physical sciences to accomplish goals.
  • Supports bids and quotes with estimates and specifications. 

Skills and Specifications

  • 5 – 10 years’ experience.
  • Organized with teaming and leadership qualities.
  • Experience within the Li-ion field or high voltage DC.
  • CANBUS, Ethernet, Modbus, C++, and Telemetrics programming experience desired.
  • Work/program load profiles with load banks
  • Electrical and Electromechanical Experience with Heavy Duty equipment.
  • Uses computer tools for schematic capture and wiring
  • Knowledgeable with Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

Education and Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college. Master’s preferred.
