Senior Account Manager – Technical Sales
  • The primary purpose of the Senior Account Manager is to fulfill annual sales targets by leading effort to sell CUSTOMER products and services at customer accounts with responsibility for managing overall customer relationships by serving as the voice of the customer within CUSTOMER to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage account strategies that are consistent with achievement of CUSTOMER business objectives and which are based on account profiles and an understanding of customer needs.
  • Familiarize yourself with those departments within an account where opportunities for new business exist that pertain to embedded control systems work in the area of algorithm and software development, hardware/software testing, and measurement/calibration.
  • Gain an understanding of the customer’s business so that you can effectively convey the financial, technical, and service benefits for doing business with CUSTOMER.
  • Engage customer contacts on a regular basis to ensure customers are kept informed about CUSTOMER products and services.
  • Manage account database, activities, and opportunities through a sales automation tool.
  • Prepare presentations, quotations and provide requested products and/or service information to customers and prospects.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer accounts and be prepared to discuss account activity, issues, and needs on a regular basis (i.e. during sales meetings).
  • Support global sales strategies and customer support activities with CUSTOMER colleagues in other geographic regions to ensure success of CUSTOMER globally.
  • Must possess a Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Background in engineering and/or program management highly preferred.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5+ years (preferably related to sales or business development) within Electronics or Software industry.
  • Experience related to the Automotive industry strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with automotive embedded control system development and related tools and processes preferred.
  • Must have a proven track record of achieving both organizational and personal goals.
